BBQ compound butter has no barbecue sauce in it. Instead, it is fresh butter that is infused with garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, a splash of Tabasco sauce for it's mild spice and Worcestershire sauce
Into a bowl add 16Tbsp of softened salted butter, 1/2tsp of paprika, 1/2tsp cayenne pepper, 1tsp of Tabasco sauce and 1-2 cloves of pressed garlic (or 1tsp)
Using a fork or a hand mixer, mix everything together to combine.
You can make this butter and use right away if you need it OR store it in the fridge or freezer for later use.
What i have found convenient is to lay out the butter on a cutting board or baking sheet using a cookie scoop that measures 1Tbsp. Place the scoops in the freezer until completely frozen and then transfer the butter into a container and store in the freezer. This makes it easy to know the amount of tablespoons you need for a recipe
No problem! Use unsalted butter and just add a pinch of salt.
