Alena’s Favorite Kitchen Spices

What does your spice rack or spice cabinet look like? Is it organized and refreshed with all the spices you actually use or has it piled up with jars and bags you think you MIGHT use someday and it’s been months or even years and you still haven’t touched it? Let me tell you what Ive learned over the years… If you opened it and smelled it and you put it away perhaps for another day, you must get rid of it. There’s a 99% chance you will NOT use it! I know, it sucks to pay money just to smell a spice blend when you get home..I wish we could do that in the store. But if you already don’t like how it smells, most likely you won’t like the dish you used it in, and will waste even MORE money by tossing the food later. I’ve been there too many times.

I’ve put together a list of my favorite spices that i use regularly in my kitchen and i buy them over and over again when i run out. I am linking them for you all here in case you’re not able to get them in your local grocery stores. I use them a lot in my recipes and if you love my recipes, it’s a good idea to always have these spices/sauces on hand. 🙂

I haven’t listed my entire pantry here but these are my ESSENTIALS. 🙂 Check back as i add new items.
