Easy Baked Tilapia Fish
This tilapia fish is juicy, flaky and so easy to make. With just a handful of kitchen staples this fish turns into a great dish. Tilapia in fact is relatively inexpensive, mild-flavored and lean fish, which makes it easy to prepare and accommodate with a variety of seasoning blends and cooking techniques. It is also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and protein, both of which are important for good health.
My favorite part about this recipe is that you can make it a day in advance or just hours before you need it and achieve the same great results. Simple and easy recipes like this Easy Baked Tilapia not only make dinner a cinch, they make weeknight meals fuss free which is something that is right up my alley.
Ingredients:
2lb Tilapia Fillets
1 Medium Onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
2tsps Johnny’s Seasoning Salt
1tsp of white Sugar
1/3cup Mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Wash and pat dry the fish fillets with a paper towel and cut them into any piece size you’d like.
2. Cut the onion into rings, half moon shape, or dice. Add the pressed garlic, mayonnaise and season with seasoning salt.
3. Mix well and let it marinate for a minimum of 2-3 hours at room temperature or refrigerate overnight. (overnight is best)
Note: The best way to tell if your fish is done is by twisting gently at an angle with a fork at the thickest point, the fish will flake easily when it is done and will lose it’s raw appearance.
5. Garnish the fish with fresh chopped parsley (optional) and serve right away with your favorite side dish and/or salad.
We had ours with mashed potatoes and roasted rainbow carrots, the combination was satisfying.
Enjoy!
