Juiciest Salmon Burger
On a trip to one of Canada’s hot springs resorts, one of the restaurants there served us one of the best salmon burgers i have ever eaten. Coming home my husband and i couldn’t forget about them so i just HAD to re-create it at home. After only 2 tries, i’ve mastered it and we couldn’t be more pleased.
This juicy salmon burger is now on repeat on our menu. Those readers that have stuck around with me for some time know that i like to keep my recipes as simple as possible because i like to allow the main ingredients to shine, not the seasoning blends. That said, this salmon burger is very simple to make and can be put together in less then 15 minutes.
What you’ll need:
4 portion size Salmon Fillets
4 Hamburger buns
Tartar Sauce
Lettuce
Tomato
Sweet Onion or red onion
2Tbsp of Salted or Unsalted Butter (for frying)
2Tbsp of Grapeseed Oil (for frying) (or any oil)
Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Season salmon portions with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Preheat a large skillet on medium-high heat until it is HOT!
- Add Oil and butter to the skillet and swirl around to mix and coat the entire pan.
- Add salmon fillets and sear on both sides about 2 minutes per side or until cooked through. DO NOT OVERCOOK or your fillets will be tough and dry.
6. Remove fillets from the pan to a separate dish. Drain some of the oil from the pan and turn the heat down to medium-low. At this time add the bun halves to the pan cut side down and toast until golden brown.
7. Assemble your salmon burger by putting about 1 tablespoon of tarter sauce on each half of the bun, following with lettuce, tomato slices and sweet onion. Finally top it off with the seared salmon fillet.

This salmon burger is best when served right away.
Enjoy!!
