Bang Bang Shrimp & Lettuce Wraps

There are so many recipes out there for Bang Bang Shrimp, many of them require too many different steps but if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m all about easy recipes and this is one of them. Just simply dredging shrimp in cornstarch, frying them and tossing in a delicious sauce that you can also adjust to your liking’s.  You can serve them either on a bed of lettuce, a bed of crispy rice noodles or make lettuce wraps. All are wonderful because these shrimps are so flavorful.

Ingredients:

1Lb Shrimp (shelled & de-veined)

2 TBSP of Cornstarch

Oil for frying

Lettuce

Sauce:

1/2cup Mayonnaise

1/4tsp Sriracha (more if you want more spicy)

1/4cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce

Instructions:

1. Clean, shell and devein the shrimps. Pat dry with a paper towel.

2. Dredge the shrimps in cornstarch on both sides.

3. Preheat skillet on med/high heat, cook the shrimps on both sides until the shrimps change color and the cornstarch is crisp.

Make the sauce:

4. In a bowl combine 1/2cup of mayonnaise, 1/4cup of Thai sweet chili sauce and 1/4tsp Sriracha (more if you want more spicy)

5. Combine shrimps and sauce and toss just until the shrimps are all coated in the sauce.

6. Serve right away over a bed of lettuce, crispy rice noodles, steamed rice or make lettuce wraps with crispy rice noodles as well.
