Avocado Toast
I remember back in the days I didn’t like avocado, now it is one of those ingredients that I usually always have in my house. I leave one or two out on the counter to ripen so I can use anytime and then store the rest in the fridge, once I use up the ripe ones I take out another 1 or 2 on the counter to ripen, they last me longer that way and I have no waste. Making avocado toasts is like a snack in our house. The ingredients I always have on hand and avocado makes them quite filling. They need to be served right away otherwise the avocado will change color and the toast won’t have that crunch anymore after a few hours.
Ingredients:
French baguette
Garlic clove
Mayonnaise
Avocado
Salt and Pepper
Instructions:
1. Cut your baguette in 1/2inch slices and toast them in a toaster or in the oven until the bread is crunchy on the outside.
2. Take out of the toaster or oven and rub a garlic clove on one side of the bread while the bread is still hot/warm.
3. Spread a little bit of mayo over the same side that you rubbed garlic on.
4. Add slices of avocado.
5.Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper on top.
Enjoy right away!
